Vandy portal WR from Palmetto State sets South Carolina official visit
From the moment Vanderbilt wide receiver Jayden McGowan announced last week that he was entering the transfer portal, it made sense for South Carolina to get involved and now that McGowan is officially in the portal, the Gamecocks have wasted no time.
South Carolina offered the Laurens, S.C. native on Monday and McGowan confirmed to GamecockCentral that he’s already set an official visit with the Gamecocks for this upcoming weekend.
The 5-foot-8, 181-pounder emerged as one of Vanderbilt’s top receivers and primary kickoff returner during his two seasons in Nashville.
McGowan accumulated 80 catches for 836 yards and three touchdowns during those two seasons to go along with 160 yards on the ground and 845 yards as a kickoff returner.
