Jerome Simmons signs with South Carolina
It’s signing day in South Carolina, and letters of intent continue to roll in for Shane Beamer’s Gamecocks programs.
The latest prospect to officially ink with South Carolina football is Highland Community College JUCO transfer, Jerome Simmons who committed not long ago on December 11, 2023.

A South Carolina native, Simmons chose the Gamecocks over Georgia, Louisiana, Coastal Carolina, and others.

Why South Carolina? “I felt the atmosphere and I was just thinking about it that Saturday night before I went to bed,” Simmons told The State. “And I was like, yeah, they have an amazing fan base. The coaches are great. And it’s closer to home. So I was thinking, yeah, I really want to come here.”
