Kai Kroeger up to seven NFL minicamp invites, here's what to know

Following Sunday’s NFL Draft, South Carolina punter Kai Kroeger’s phone began to ring nonstop. Fielding four minicamp invites on Saturday, that list grew with three more invites on Sunday.
Kroeger told GamecockCentral on Sunday that he’s now been invited to kick by the Tennessee Titans, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, New York Jets, and Atlanta Falcons. Barring any changes, Kroeger tells us that he’ll “probably know later (on Sunday)” which ones he’ll kick at, since he won’t be able to attend all of them.

On Day 3 of the NFL Draft, there was plenty of smoke surrounding the Broncos picking a punter late. Despite Kroeger being heavily on Denver’s radar, the franchise opted to draft another punter with the 216th overall pick.
A two-time All-American who not only flipped the field with his foot but was someone who would keep teams on their toes thanks to throwing three touchdown passes during his career, Kroeger has been one of South Carolina’s biggest weapons going back to the 2020 season. Starting in every game since he was a true freshman, Kroeger leaves USC tied for playing the most games by any Gamecock (61).
