VIDEO: Breaking down the impact of the Kam Pringle commitment
Dorchester (S.C.) Woodland class of 2024 four-star offensive tackle Kam Pringle announced a commitment to South Carolina on Sunday afternoon, choosing the Gamecocks over finalists Georgia, NC State, Clemson, Tennessee, and Florida.
The 6-foot-8, 340-pound standout also has offers from schools like Auburn, North Carolina, Ohio State, LSU, Virginia Tech, Michigan, Penn State, Miami, and Texas A&M, among others.

Pringle’s commitment to the Gamecocks was a massive team effort for South Carolina including but no limited to work from head coach Shane Beamer, current offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley, former offensive line coach Greg Adkins, recruiting assistant Sam Serbay, director of player personnel Taylor Edwards and area recruiter Montario Hardesty.

The 2024 On3 Consensus, which averages the rankings for all the major recruiting services, ranks Pringle as the No. 1 recruit from the state of South Carolina and the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country. He is also considered the No. 40 overall prospect in his class.
On3 itself considers Pringle the No. 2 offensive tackle, No. 1 prospect in SC and No. 30 overall prospect in his class.
Pringle is the second commitment in the 2024 class, joining Dante Reno, a four-star quarterback and long-time pledge from The Loomis Chaffee School in Connecticut.
