Former Gamecocks DB Keisean Nixon takes kickoff 105 yards to the house!
Former South Carolina Gamecocks defensive back Keisean Nixon has suddenly emerged as one of the NFL’s most feared kickoff returners.
Nixon helped ignite Green Bay’s push for the playoffs Sunday afternoon with a 105-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to put the Packers up 7-3 in the first quarter of their matchup with Minnesota.

Nixon, whose status for the game was initially uncertain due to a groin injury, didn’t take over as the Packers returner until mid-October.
But he’s quickly made a name at the position and leads the league in kickoff return yardage and yards per return.
In last week’s win over Miami, Nixon had a 93-yard kickoff return.

A Compton, Calif. native, Nixon played two seasons for South Carolina in 2017 and 2018 after two seasons at Arizona Western.
Nixon recorded 71 tackles and two interceptions during his Gamecock career. While Nixon did return a pick for a TD, he did not return kickoffs for the Gamecocks or the Raiders, or even the Packers until October.
