SCOUTING ARKANSAS
The Razorbacks are coming off a three-game sweep at Mississippi State this past weekend. Kendall Diggs drove in four in Sunday’s 11-6 win in Starkville. Jace Bohrofen leads the Razorbacks with a .373 batting average and 13 home runs while Diggs has 10 home runs and 52 RBI. On the mound, Hagen Smith is 7-1 with a 2.56 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 52.2 innings pitched.

SERIES VS. ARKANSAS
Arkansas leads the overall series with the Gamecocks, 43-34. The last meeting between the two teams took place in Columbia as the Razorbacks won 2-of-3 games. Carolina won the middle game, 6-2, as Brady Allen had two hits and Andrew Peters struck out three in three scoreless innings of relief.

CASAS GETS CLOSE TO 20
Gavin Casas belted three home runs on the weekend in Lexington against Kentucky, upping his total to 19 on the year. Casas and Ethan Petry (21) have a chance to be the first Gamecocks to ever have a pair of 20 home run seasons in the same year.

PETRY MOVES INTO THE RECORD BOOKS
Freshman Ethan Petry now has the freshman record for home runs (21) and RBI (68) after his two-run double on April 22 broke Justin Smoak’s freshman RBI record, set in 2006. Petry now is two home runs away from breaking the SEC freshman mark set by Vanderbilt’s Pedro Alvarez and Georgia’s Charlie Condon.
