They released an updated depth chart heading into the Furman game with a few shakeups.

The biggest things of note are Cason Henry and Mo Kaba are off the two-deep while dealing with injuries and that there are battles still ongoing at offensive tackle after game one.

Right now Sidney Fugar and Jaxon Hughes–the two players who played at left tackle against North Carolina–are listed there this week. Tyshawn Wannamaker and Jakai Moore are listed as OR starters at right tackle.

Moore is also listed as the Gamecocks’ starting right guard with Trai Jones as his backup.

With Kaba out for some time, Bam Martin-Scott slides into the backup spot behind Debo Williams at linebacker. Stone Blanton is the other starter there with Pup Howard his backup.

Martin-Scott missed the Gamecocks’ opener with an injury but Shane Beamer mentioned he should be available for Furman.

South Carolina lists Connor Cox–who also missed Saturday’s game with injury–as a backup to Joshua Simon at one of the tight end spots.

There’s a battle brewing now too behind Keenan Nelson at the nickel spot. Nelson is still the starter in the secondary but David Spaulding and Kajuan Banks are listed as OR at the backup spot there.

Tyreek Johnson, Jatius Geer and Drew Tuazama move into a battle for the starting EDGE spot while Jordan Strachan, Bryan Thomas and Desmond Umeozulu are at the outside linebacker spot.

Tuazama wasn’t listed on the depth chart last week and made his South Carolina debut last week. Strachan and Thomas were the starting EDGE players last week against the Tar Heels.
