Live updates: Shane Beamer weekly press conference
For the first time since South Carolina wrapped its preseason portion of camp, Shane Beamer will meet with the media.
Beamer will have his first weekly Tuesday press conference beginning 1:30 pm.
He’ll get to address Saturday’s closed to the media scrimmage and more with just under two weeks to go until the season.

South Carolina had Sunday without practice and an off day Monday before hitting the practice field again Tuesday morning.
Players met with the media before Beamer spoke, touching on a few topics as the Gamecocks enter a pivotal stretch. A handful of both offensive and defensive guys spoke at the podium.
South Carolina opens its season Sept. 3 against Georgia State before hitting the road for a game at Arkansas. The Gamecocks return home for a game against preseason top-five team Georgia.

The Georgia State game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. with the next two games starting at noon ET.
“That’s been a point of emphasis with this year’s team, to be able to handle change better,” Beamer said about the Gamecocks on the road. “We have to play better, have to coach better. A big point of emphasis is if you look offensively we were not good in the third quarter last year. That’s been a point of emphasis. We have to be better coming out of halftime.”
