Notable weight changes on South Carolina football roster

An update was recently made to the official South Carolina football roster, and there were plenty of interesting moves both up and down for Gamecocks players.

Running back Rocket Sanders played last season at 242 pounds, but is now listed at 225, a 17 pound difference.

Transfer wide receiver Gage Larvadain is now listed at 176 pounds, an 11-pound improvement on his previous listed weight.

Sophomore wideout Tyshawn Russell is now 188 after spending last season at 176.

Gamecocks defensive back Emory Floyd was one of the biggest movers in terms of putting on extra pounds. He’s now at 195, up from his previous 181.

Joining him as a big gainer is wide receiver Kelton Henderson, who has gone from 165 to 186.

Tight end Reid Mikeska is now 242, a substantial 17-pound upward move.

Elijah Davis, who ended last season as an EDGE, shed 14 pounds and is now 275.

Another EDGE, Jatius Geer, put on just shy of 19 more pounds and is now 262.

Defensive lineman Drew Tuazama is up to 290, 15 pounds more than his previous listed weight.

Another transfer, former Alabama product Monkell Goodwine, is up to 301 pounds (previously listed at 291).

Veteran d-lineman Tonka Hemingway is now up 10 pounds to 295.

EDGE rusher Bryan Thomas Jr. has put on 10 pounds of good weight and is now at 245.

True freshman early enrollee linebacker Wendell Gregory is now listed at 234 pounds.

There was plenty of movement with offensive linemen, too.

Tree Babalade dropped 15 pounds and is at 325.

Transfer Kamaar Bell, by the way, is at 310. Torricelli Simpkins III is at 308, 12 pounds lighter than his original weight.

True freshman Kam Pringle is now listed at 335 pounds.

Markee Anderson, who will see his first action this year, is now listed at 324 pounds, which is a 22 pound difference from his previous listed weight.

Ryan Brubaker is now at 316; a 10-pound gain.

True freshman Josiah Thompson has evidently put on 20 pounds, as he is now listed at 300 even.
