Nyckoles Harbor has arrived in Columbia for his South Carolina official visit
Top South Carolina football target and five-star athlete Nyckoles Harbor has arrived in Columbia for his official visit with the Gamecocks.
The Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll class of 2023 prospect posted on his Instagram story Friday afternoon that he had arrived in town for his much-anticipated OV.

Harbor has made two unofficial visits already to South Carolina, where he’s being recruited by Sterling Lucas and Jody Wright and, of course, head coach Shane Beamer.
The On3 Consensus top athlete in the country this cycle recently sat down with GamecockCentral.com for a one-on-one interview on location at his high school.
“Coach Beamer was one of the first few to ever look at me when I was a freshman,” Harbor said during the conversation. “When he got the head coaching job at South Carolina (he) offered me to get me down to the school and just to show me great love when I was a three- or four-star. He’s still there, still showing the same recruitment, but just going even harder now since we’re getting closer to when I’m going to commit.”

While Beamer could not comment publicly on Harbor due to NCAA rules, he did speak earlier this week on the importance of this recruiting weekend for the Gamecocks.

“If you follow recruiting at all at Carolina you know how important this recruit this weekend is from a recruiting standpoint and the fantastic young men we’re going to have on campus,” Beamer said.
“We have to do our part as a football team, coaches and players. We’re working really, really hard to do that. But we need our fan base to do their part as well on Saturday. Knowing what I know about Gamecock Nation I have no doubt we will.”
After the trip to South Carolina, Harbor is scheduled for official visits to Michigan on September 23 and LSU on October. 7. Harbor also includes Maryland, Miami, Georgia and Southern Cal.
Harbor is ranked by the On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — as the 10th-best football prospect in the country. He’s rated as the top athlete in the nation and the number one prospect in D.C.
Nyckoles Harbor Scouting Report from On3
Nyckoles Harbor is the rarest jumbo athlete we’ve seen as a recruit. He’s one of the nation’s top sprinters at around 6-foot-5, 225 pounds. Harbor could play as a pass rusher or big pass catcher at the college level. There are not many great comparisons given his physical dimensions and lack of polish as a pass catcher, but we’ve landed on former college wide receiver and NFL tight end Darren Waller, who ran 4.46 at the NFL Combine at 6-foot-6, 238 pounds.
