South Carolina Baseball hosted Sacred Heart in game two of the series on Saturday afternoon at Ray Tanner Field at Founders Park.
Today’s festivities began as the field was officially dedicated to former South Carolina Head Coach and AD Ray Tanner. Many former players were in attendance to honor their coach.
The Gamecocks would go on to run rule shutout the Pioneers, defeating them 14-0 to clinch their first series of the year. Matthew Becker earned his first win of the season after allowing one hit with 9 Ks in 5 innings pitched.
