The 38-0 South Carolina Women’s Basketball team was welcomed home to Colonial Life Arena less the 24 hours after they won the program’s third National Championship. Gamecock FAMs filled the lower bowl and cheered their hearts out as the team entered the arena. Dawn Staley led the way with the 2024 National Championship trophy above her head.
Dawn Staley spoke thanking the FAMs for the way they support the team and how special that is, and much more. Raven Johnson stepped to the podium grinning from ear to ear to let us all know “The revenge tour is over. Now it’s time for the repeat tour.”

The Gamecocks circled the arena high-fiving and taking selfies with fans and students. The FAMs sported huge smiles and even tears during this celebration. After all was said and done, and I made my way to my car I saw Dawn Staley, Champ, and others had come out behind the arena to partake in the solar eclipse.
A parade to celebrate the National Champions will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. with more details to come.
