Scarnecchia was a five-year member of the USC football team (2014-18). He’s best known for his 2018 performance against Missouri. With Jake Bentley out, Scarnecchia started at quarterback in a monsoon. With just over a minute left trailing by one, Scarnecchia led the Gamecocks down the field into field goal range for the win. He recently graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

He also served as a rotating co-host last season and provided a unique perspective as a former QB. His experience, along with his ability to call it like he sees it, helped Gamecock Central in our launch of this program in 2022.
In addition to listening to Scarnecchia’s postgame analysis, fans will once again be able to call into the program live. ‘Intern’ Joe will be holding down the phone lines, while also adding his thoughts on games throughout the year.
