It’s been a busy month of June as South Carolina hosts official visits, unofficials, and camp days all while adding a flurry of pledges to the 2025 commit list.

With seven public commits in the month, coming in the span of about eight days, it can be difficult to keep up with… so with that, here’s a list of the Gamecocks’ most recent commits and a quick blurb on each.

Three-star LB Jaquel Holman – 06/08

One of the most athletic prospects in the state of South Carolina, the Blackville (S.C.) Blackville-Hilda standout committed to the Gamecocks a couple of Saturdays ago, about eight days after landing a camp offer from the staff.

Holman measured in at 6-foot-1.5, 196-pounds and ran a 4.49 40 with a 4.28 shuttle.

A three-star prospect according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average for the four major recruiting media sites, Holman is the No. 545 overall prospect and No. 60 linebacker in the country.

Three-star EDGE Kobby Sakyi-Prah – 6/10

Roswell (Ga.) three-star EDGE Kobby Sakyi-Prah announced a commitment to the Gamecocks last Monday afternoon after visiting the program for his official visit that weekend.

He chose South Carolina over Mississippi State and Indiana.

A three-star prospect according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average for the four major recruiting media sites, he is the No. 752 overall prospect and No. 65 EDGE in the country.

Three-star DB Christopher Hatfield – 6/11

The Ludowici (Ga.) Long County defensive back went into his South Carolina official visit two weekends ago with the Gamecocks likely on top and saw everything he needed to see while on the trip.

He chose South Carolina over Georgia Tech and West Virginia.

A three-star prospect according to the On3 Industry Ranking, he is the No. 955 overall prospect and No. 68 S in the country.

Three-star TE Preston Douglas – 6/12

Jupiter (Fla.) Benjamin School three-star Preston Douglas pulled the trigger toward the end of his official visit to Columbia two weekends ago before going public last Wednesday.

Douglas was supposed to take an official visit to NC State the following weekend but canceled that trip with his pledge to the Gamecocks.

A three-star prospect according to the On3 Industry Ranking, he is the No. 944 overall prospect and No. 58 TE in the country. On3 is slightly higher on Douglas, ranking the 6-foot-3, 225-pounder as the No. 44 tight end in the class.

Three-star LB AJ Holloway – 6/14

Buford (Ga.) three-star linebacker AJ Holloway announced a commitment to South Carolina on Friday afternoon after giving the staff his pledge while on campus the prior weekend for his official.

South Carolina entered the official trailing Louisville for Holloway but quickly flipped him to the garnet and black during the visit.

A three-star prospect according to the On3 Industry Ranking, he is the No. 820 overall prospect and No. 93 LB in the country. On3 ranks him as the No. 81 LB.

Four-star IOL Shed Sarratt – 6/14

Gaffney (S.C.) class of 2025 On3 four-star offensive lineman Shed Sarratt, one of the Gamecocks’ top targets at the position, announced his pledge to South Carolina on Friday evening.

The 6-foot-3.5, 290-pounder chose the Gamecocks over offers from Florida, Tennessee, Florida State, Colorado, and NC State, among others.

Sarratt is a four-star prospect and the nation’s No. 341 overall prospect, No. 27 IOL, and No. 5 recruit from South Carolina, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

K/P Max Kelley – 6/15

New South Carolina special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis and the Gamecocks added a verbal commitment Saturday from Gallatin (Tenn.) kicker Max Kelley, one of the top kicker prospects in the country.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder also had an offer from Tennessee.

Kelley is ranked the No. 14 kicker and No. 36 punter in the country, according to Kohl’s Kicking, the premier kicker ranking service in the country.
