SEC Men's Basketball Tournament odds
With two days to go before the 2024 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament tips-off in Nashville, TN, BetOnline has released their odds for the 14 teams in it to win it.
According to their website, South Carolina has the sixth best odds to win the tournament. Historically, the Gamecocks have never won the SEC Tournament but they have appeared in the tournament’s championship game twice (1998 and 2006). The lone two times South Carolina won conference tournament titles came during the days as members of the ACC in 1971 and the Southern Conference in 1933.

The Gamecocks will begin their run for an SEC Tournament title on Thursday when they play the winner of (12)Arkansas/(13)Vanderbilt. Tip-off is slated to begin 25 minutes after the conclusion of the first game of the day — (1)Tennessee vs the winner of (8)LSU/(9)Miss. State. Roughly, that should mean a 3:30/4 p.m. ET start for South Carolina.

The Gamecocks plan to leave on Tuesday after practice “around 5ish,” according to team sources.

On Wednesday, South Carolina is slated to practice in Nashville between 2-2:40 p.m. ET, according to a press release from the SEC. According to the release, “each team will have an informal media availability in the locker room area at the conclusion of their practice session.”
