Shane Beamer provides Thursday injury report before South Carolina-Wofford game
Shane Beamer provided an updated injury report for South Carolina’s game against Wofford while recording an episode of Carolina Calls on 107.5 The Game on Thursday night.
The SEC recently approved a player availability injury report system for football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball earlier in the season. But because the Gamecocks are facing a non-conference opponent on Saturday, this protocol does not need to be followed.

On Tuesday, Beamer mentioned five players whose status for Saturday’s game is not completely certain. Those players are Judge Collier, Jared Brown, Joshua Simon, Michael Smith and Brady Hunt.
Beamer said all five players remain “banged up.” But he added that Hunt is the only one of the group who has not appeared in practice this week.
Collier exited last weekend’s game early due to an injury he suffered colliding with a Missouri wide receiver while breaking up a touchdown pass. Beamer said he has since made a quick recovery and has fully participated in practice.

“Judge is fine. Judge has practiced,” Beamer said. “It was a scary situation on Saturday night. He actually had to go to the hospital during the game on Saturday with his mom and dad, but he’s okay. Like the tough kid he is, he was back at practice on Tuesday and has not been limited at all this week.”
Beamer also expressed confidence that Simon, Smith and Brown could suit up against the Terriers.
“Josh and Mike – we’re optimistic on,” Beamer said. “We’ll see where Jared is as we go.”
Hunt, on the other hand, has not practiced and will be inactive on Saturday. Beamer said on Tuesday that Hunt would miss the remainder of the regular season due to a non-contact lower-body injury.
“Brady, obviously, won’t play. We’ve already announced that he’ll be out until December, and (it’s) disappointing,” Beamer said. “It was a non-contact thing just running to try and go get a block for, I believe it was, Dalevon Campbell on his long catch down the sidelines. So, that’s unfortunate for Brady.”
Any further changes to players’ health statuses will be reflected in the team’s dress list released before kickoff. South Carolina and Wofford will begin play at Williams-Brice Stadium at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The game will be streamed on both the SEC Network+ and ESPN+.
