South Carolina 2024 Pro Day guide
On Tuesday, more than a dozen South Carolina Gamecocks are expected to participate in Pro Day in hopes to play football at the next level.
While five of those players recently took part in the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Pro Day will provide a home field advantage for those players when they go through drills and testing. Below are a list of the players expected to participate, according to South Carolina Athletics.

In years past, dozens of NFL and CFL scouts, as well as coaches, have shown up to Columbia to watch South Carolina’s Pro Day. While there’s been no official list provided on which teams will be there I think it’s save to that nearly every NFL team, if not all of them, will be there.

The event will begin at 8 a.m. in the Cyndi and Kenneth Long Family Football Operations facility weight room. That portion, which is closed off to local media, will include measurements for height, weight, wingspan, arm length and hand size. In addition, testing for vertical jump and bench press will also he held there.
At approximately 9 a.m., testing will continue in the Jerri and Steve Spurrier Indoor Practice Facility. There, combine participants will have a chance to test in the Broad Jump, 40-yard dash, Short Shuttle, and 3-Cone drills. Following the testing, individual position drills will be conducted on the field.

Each year I’ve shared two players to keep an on eye on who weren’t invited to the NFL Combine. Last year, one of those players was Nate Adkins who ended up signing with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent. This year, the two players I’m eager to watch are Jordan Strachan and Ahmarean Brown.
A Week 2 knee injury in 2022 not only ended Strachan’s season but it also prevented him from being, in my opinion, a fourth round draft pick last year. Drafting players is all about projecting. He overcame both the physical, and more importantly the mental hurdles of a knee injury this past year, which makes me believe he can be an even bigger force next year.
Brown is coming off his best season as a Gamecock. He flashed with his speed, which I could see many NFL teams being interested to have on their team. A fast 40 could should only help Brown’s stock go up, even if that means more teams showing interest in bringing him in as an undrafted free agent.
