South Carolina adds transfer quarterback as preferred walk-on
South Carolina has made another transfer portal in Oklahoma quarterback Davis Beville, who announced his commitment to South Carolina. Beville, a native of Greenville, South Carolina, will join the team as a preferred walk-on.
The redshirt senior quarterback spent much of the 2023 season behind the likes of Dillon Gabriel and backup Jackson Arnold on the depth chart. However, he did get some playing time against Arkansas State on Sept. 2 and West Virginia on Nov. 11. He did not attempt a pass in either game but gained a combined seven yards on three rushing attempts.

The 6-foot-6, 226-pounder attended Greenville High School before joining the Panthers. The On3 Industry Ranking rated him as the No. 594 prospect nationally in the class of 2019. He was also the sixth-best prospect from South Carolina and the No. 41 quarterback in that year’s class.
