Final South Carolina injury report before Texas A&M game
Wide receiver Ahmarean Brown and offensive lineman Vershon Lee have officially been ruled “out” for Saturday’s matchup with Texas A&M, South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer said Thursday during his weekly call-in show.
Those two are among a long list of injured South Carolina players whom Beamer was hoping would make progress as the week progressed.
Beamer said Thursday, without naming specific players, that the others they’ve been tracking — Xavier Legette, Tree Babalade, Trovon Baugh, and Cason Henry — are still considered “questionable” for this week.

Legette, South Carolina’s leading receiver this year with 38 catches for 736 yards and three touchdowns, exited the Missouri game in the second quarter with what Beamer called an upper body injury. He did not return and was spotted with a towel over his head on the sideline.
Even if Legette can’t return this week, Beamer believes he’ll be back soon.
“No, it would not be long-term at all,” he said. “He’s in good spirits and nothing long-term at all.”
Babalade suffered a second-half knee injury while Brown was dinged up with a hamstring issue, Beamer said Saturday.
Baugh’s specific injury has not been disclosed.
