South Carolina baseball earns commitment from Clemson infielder

South Carolina has added yet another player from its in-state rival school.
The Gamecocks picked up a commitment from Clemson infielder Nolan Nawrocki on Wednesday, one day after the transfer portal closed. Players had until July 2 to enter their name into the portal.
In 36 games this season, Nawrocki hit .264/.352/.400 with four homers and 24 RBI. He struck out 29 times and walked 13. He also was a perfect 11-for-11 in stolen bases.

Nawrocki becomes the second Tiger to join the Gamecocks this summer. Nathan Hall committed to South Carolina back on June 24.
Nawrocki, a Rockville Centre, N.Y. native, is currently playing in the Cape Cod League with the Cotuit Kettleers. In 10 games, he’s hitting .268/.318/.415 with two homers and five RBI.
