South Carolina baseball lands commitment from Campbell infielder
South Carolina picked up a commitment from Campbell infielder Charlie Meglio on Thursday. Meglio made it official in an Instagram post.
“Next chapter. Thank you Campbell Baseball for everything. Jeremiah 29:11,” the post reads.
As a freshman in 2024, Meglio hit .275/.399/.475 with nine homers and 28 RBI in 160 at-bats. He made 43 starts on the left side of the infield, playing 31 games at third base and 15 at shortstop. Meglio also made the CAA All-Rookie team this season.
Meglio, who comes in at 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, will have three years of eligibility remaining.
