South Carolina sophomore Collin Murray-Boyles hasn’t made any public decision about his future. The Gamecock star has two more years of eligibility remaining with the program but is a big-time NBA Draft prospect. For most of the last year, CMB has earned first-round draft grades. That continued this week.

In Tankathon’s latest mock draft, Murray-Boyles featured as a projected lottery pick. According to the mock, the Atlanta Hawks could take the versatile forward with the 14th pick. Pick No. 14 is the final pick of the NBA Draft lottery and commands about $21 million over the first four seasons of the expected rookie contract, including just under $4.5 million in the first year. The ranking positions Murray-Boyles as the second or third power forward on the board, depending on how one views Duke’s Cooper Flagg. It also makes him the top sophomore selected in the mock draft.

During his second season with South Carolina, Murray-Boyles averaged 16.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game and was the SEC’s leader among qualified players in field goal efficiency at 58%. No other player in college basketball averaged at least 16 points, eight rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block, while shooting 55%. He also became an elite multi-positional defender. It’s no wonder that the NBA is so high on his potential at the next level.

This year’s NBA Draft will take place on Friday, June 25th and Saturday, June 26th. Murray-Boyles’ final deadline to decide if he will return to school or stay in the draft will be June 15th. ABC, ESPN, and the ESPN app will broadcast and stream coverage of the festivities.
