It's the most wonderful time of the year: Free concessions are back for South Carolina basketball

It’s the most wonderful time of the year: once again, South Carolina basketball fans will have the chance to get free concessions at Colonial Life Arena.

For three games around Christmastime, select concession stand items will be free of charge for Gamecock fans. Those games are:

South Carolina men’s basketball vs. Radford, December 22nd, 2:00 p.m.

South Carolina women’s basketball vs. Wofford, December 29th, 2:00 p.m.

South Carolina men’s basketball vs. Presbyterian, December 30th, 7:00 p.m.

At these three home contests, fans will be able to get hot dogs, popcorn, fountain sodas, and bottled water without paying. Further details are in the release below.

South Carolina Athletics announced the return of its free concessions promotion at Colonial Life Arena today. The promotion will run for three Gamecock basketball home games over the holiday break that take place from Dec. 22-30.

During the free concessions promotion, hot dogs, regular fountain sodas, popcorn and bottled water will be free for all fans. For each transaction, fans can get one hot dog, popcorn and one regular fountain soda or bottled water for each ticket they have for that game. Fans can visit the concession stands an unlimited amount of times throughout the game.

At each game, the free concessions promotion will end at the under 12-minute media timeout of the second half for men’s games and the end of the third quarter for women’s games.

To access the free concessions promotion, fans must utilize the Forever Garnet App.

The games included in this promotion are:

• Men’s Basketball vs. Radford – Sunday, December 22 at 2 p.m.
• Women’s Basketball vs. Wofford – Sunday, December 29 at 2 p.m.
• Men’s Basketball vs. Presbyterian – Monday, December 30 at 7 p.m.

How to use the Forever Garnet App to receive the free items for these four games:

1. Download the Forever Garnet App via the Apple or Google Play App Stores.
2. Create an account using the email tied to your South Carolina Athletics ticket account.
   1. All Gamecock Club members have had an account already created for them. If you are a Gamecock Club member logging in for the first time, you should click the reset password button and enter the email tied to your membership to receive an email with information on resetting your password.
3. Click View ID on the bottom menu bar in the app to reveal your Forever Garnet QR Code ID. It is recommended that you add this QR code ID to your phone’s mobile wallet.
4. Have the QR code scanned during checkout at the concessions stand. If you are getting additional items on top of the free items, you will be asked to pay the remaining balance at that time.

What stands will have free concessions:

All permanent stands inside Colonial Life Arena will have some or all items as part of the free concessions promotion. The map below outlines the stands that will be participating in this promotion.

The Grille, Marketplace and Snack Shack locations will serve as the primary locations for this promotion with all free items available for pickup. All other permanent stands will have regular fountain sodas and bottled waters available for free. Two additional portables have been added to the concourse that will have the free items available.
