Isaac Ellis and Kohl Rosario, Eli Ellis' brother and 4-star teammate, earn South Carolina basketball offers
With Gamecock signees Eli Ellis and Hayden Assemian both playing for the same team right now, South Carolina basketball fans have plenty of reason to tune in to watch Moravian Prep games. As of late Wednesday, they now have even more. USC head coach Lamont Paris extended two more scholarship offers to 2026 Moravian Prep products Isaac Ellis and Kohl Rosario. Both players (along with the two 2025 signees) were in Colonial Life Arena to watch South Carolina beat the rival Clemson Tigers on Tuesday night.

Ellis, the younger brother of Eli, is an unranked but promising prospect in the class of 2026. A left-handed guard, he is a confident scorer and distributor on the perimeter. A little taller and thinner than his older brother, Isaac is becoming a much better ballhandler. Because of the added wiggle to his game, he can get to the basket efficiently. Ellis is a crafty, intelligent player on either end of the floor, making up for his lack of elite size and athleticism with a great basketball brain. He also plays hard, something that Lamont Paris craves in a player.
Rosario, another junior, is a dynamic athlete on the wing. Standing 6’5″, he can hit his head on the rim, meaning he possesses a vertical over 40 inches. He’s got great hand-eye coordination that allows him to catch seemingly any lob thrown in his direction. However, he’s not just a leaper. Rosario is a solid outside shooter with a smooth stroke. He also plays with confidence and is improving his ballhandling ability. On defense, he is a high-effort fighter who has elite potential. He is a newly-minted 4-star, top-100 prospect according to On3.

It is too early to tell just how interested Ellis and Rosario are in the Gamecocks. It certainly, though, does not hurt having the elder Ellis and Assemian heading to Columbia next season. Isaac Ellis and Rosario have seen their recruitments heat up some of late, and Rosario, in particular, is really starting to emerge as a coveted player in the recruiting world.
All four Moravian Prep standouts were in Columbia last week to play in The Bash and made the return trip for the Clemson game.
