Survive and advance starts tonight for South Carolina basketball.

The No. 7-seeded Gamecocks begin the SEC Tournament at 6 p.m. tonight against No. 10 seed Mississippi State.

GamecockCentral is on hand to bring you live coverage from Tampa, Florida for the entire SEC Tournament.

Follow along with live updates here.

It’s a tough matchup for South Carolina going against a team they’ve played twice already this season. The home team won both games by double digits, most recently a 10-point Gamecocks win at Colonial Life Arena.

KenPom currently projects a 70-66 Mississippi State win and gives the Gamecocks a 37 percent chance to advance. State’s struggled away from home though, just one win on the road and two wins in four tries on a neutral court.

A win keeps the Gamecocks’ season alive while a loss could do harm to any postseason NIT berth and end the careers of two super seniors in James Reese and AJ Wilson.

“I mean, me personally, I’m balls to the wall and putting everything on the floor. I don’t have any more second chances or an extra year. That’s what I’m going to relay to the team,” Reese said after the Auburn game.

“Not just for me but for the team. We put in all this work this summer. We have two guys, me and AJ, who came here for this. I’m going to let them know to play balls to the wall for me and I’m going to do the same for them. I want to go out with a bang.”

The winner will face Tennessee at 6 p.m. Friday night. How can the Gamecocks advance? We take a look at it here.

South Carolina lost both games this year to Tennessee, a 20-point loss on the road and a 24-point loss at home to the Vols.
