South Carolina senior post player Nick Pringle is entering the transfer portal. On3’s Joe Tipton reported the news on Monday afternoon. He also will test the NBA Draft waters, per Tipton’s report. Pringle previously expressed interest in returning to the Gamecocks.

Pringle spent just one year in Columbia after transferring in from Alabama. Before joining the Crimson Tide, he spent some time at Dodge City Community College and at Wofford.

For the season, Pringle was a starter at center who averaged 9.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. He joins fellow former Gamecocks Austin Herro, Zach Davis, and Arden Conyers in the portal.

Because of the NCAA’s new stance on former junior college players, Pringle expects to have one final year of eligibility at the college level.

Following a disappointing year for USC, the Gamecocks are expected to be a very active team in the transfer portal.
