Former South Carolina center Nick Pringle has found a new home in the transfer portal. The former Gamecock and Alabama Crimson Tide post player will play the 2025-2026 season with the Arkansas Razorbacks. On3’s Pete Nakos reported the news.

Pringle’s fifth overall collegiate stop will be with his third team in the Southeastern Conference. He also played previously at Wofford and Dodge City Community College.

Pringle’s eligibility for a final season is dependent upon the NCAA granting him a sixth year, something that should be a foregone conclusion after the recent rulings regarding former junior college athletes.

Pringle will join an Arkansas squad that struggled at times last season but finished strong with a Sweet Sixteen run. The 6-10 post player will bring athleticism to a frontcourt losing at least one impact big this offseason. John Calipari has had success utilizing long, athletic forwards and centers, making the Palmetto State native a good fit for the Hogs.

Pringle was one of eight players from last year’s USC team who have entered the portal, joining guards Austin HerroZach DavisArden ConyersJamarii ThomasCam Scott, and Morris Ugusuk and post player Okku Federiko. Davis is the only other one to find a new home so far.

The Gamecocks also have brought in five transfer commitments in guards Meechie Johnson, Treysen Eaglestaff, and Kobe Knox and big men Christ Essandoko and Elijah Strong.

Carolina still has room on its roster for further transfer additions. With two returners, five transfers, and a four-man incoming freshman class, Lamont Paris has four available scholarships to give. Any additional transfer portal movement or a Collin Murray-Boyles NBA Draft reversal will change that number.
