South Carolina Outgoing Transfers (8)
G Morris Ugusuk – 4/4/2025
Ugusuk showed some flashes during two years with the Gamecocks, primarily as an efficient 3-point shooter. However, the rest of his game struggled as he averaged less than one assist per game in both seasons and didn’t develop enough as a ballhandler or defender.
Rated as a 3-star prospect out of Finland, Ugusuk will have two more years of eligibility at his next college stop.
F Okku Federiko – 4/4/2025
Federiko did not play after enrolling at USC during this season. He was able to redshirt. A former 4-star recruit, he will have four years left to play.
G Cam Scott – 4/1/2025
South Carolina guard and former blue-chip recruit Cam Scott has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Jamie Shaw.
During his lone season in garnet and black, Scott struggled to maintain a role. He averaged just 2.5 points on 27.8% shooting from the field and 17.8% shooting from the arc. Scott also averaged 1.3 rebounds per game.
Ranked as a top-50 player out of high school, Scott flipped from the Texas Longhorns to the hometown Gamecocks. He played in 26 games for USC but didn’t play more than 10 minutes in any game after February 8th.
Scott was a freshman this season, so he will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next college stop.
G Jamarii Thomas – 4/1/2025
South Carolina senior guard Jamarii Thomas will enter the transfer portal, On3’s Jamie Shaw reported on Tuesday.
Thomas spent one season with the Gamecocks and was a regular in the team’s starting lineup, making 26 starts in the 28 games he played. He averaged 13.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while shooting 37.2 percent from the field. He hopes to have one year of eligibility remaining, but that has not been decided.
F Nick Pringle – 3/24/2025
South Carolina senior post player Nick Pringle is entering the transfer portal. On3’s Joe Tipton reported the news on Monday afternoon. He previously expressed interest in returning to the Gamecocks.
Pringle spent just one year in Columbia after transferring in from Alabama. Before joining the Crimson Tide, he spent some time at Dodge City Community College and at Wofford.

For the season, Pringle was a starter at center who averaged 9.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
G Arden Conyers – 3/21/2025 (Charlotte 49ers)
South Carolina redshirt freshman guard Arden Conyers plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal. Conyers confirmed the news on social media.
Following a redshirt season as a true freshman, Conyers played an inconsistent role on the 2024-2025 team. The local product averaged 4.3 points on 34.8% shooting and 1.2 rebounds.
Because of his redshirt year, Conyers will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
G Zachary Davis – 3/21/2025
South Carolina men’s basketball starter Zachary Davis plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Joe Tipton.
The 6-foot-7, 200-pound rising senior is a two-year starter for the Gamecocks after moving into the starting lineup last season.
In his three-year career with the Gamecocks, Davis played in 95 games with 38 starts averaging 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.
G Austin Herro – 3/20/2025
On3’s Joe Tipton reported that South Carolina basketball guard Austin Herro plans to enter the transfer portal. Herro, a former walk-on for the Gamecocks and younger brother of NBA star Tyler Herro, was put on scholarship ahead of the 2024-2025 season. He played in 10 total games at USC and scored two points.
Despite the Gamecocks’ struggles on the court this season, Herro did not have a clear path to minutes. He will enter the portal with three years of eligibility remaining.
Transfer portal background information
The NCAA Transfer Portal, which covers every NCAA sport at the Division I, II, and III levels, is a private database with names of student-athletes who wish to transfer. It is not accessible to the public.
The process of entering the portal is done through a school’s compliance office. Once a player provides written notification of an intent to transfer, the office enters the player’s name in the database and everything is off and running. The compliance office has 48 hours to comply with the player’s request and that request cannot be refused.
Once a player’s name shows up in the portal, other schools can contact the player. Players can change their minds at any point and withdraw from the portal. However, once a player enters the portal, the current scholarship no longer has to be honored. In other words, if a player enters the portal but decides to stay, the school is not obligated to provide a scholarship anymore.
