South Carolina four-star commit Dante Reno is considered one of the top quarterbacks in the country for the class of 2024. Next month, he’ll have a chance to prove that after being invited to the Elite 11 Finals.
The 2023 Elite 11 Finals brings together 20 of the top rising senior quarterbacks for the class of 2024 in a highly competitive setting. Finalists will take part in on-field drills, routes-on-air, classroom instruction and off-field development from June 14-16 in Los Angeles, CA. The Elite 11 will be named at the conclusion of The Elite 11 Finals.

“It means everything. You dream of it as a little kid and grow up following it and watching it,” Reno told Gamecock Central. “I know a bunch of people that have been in it before like Spencer (Rattler) and Luke (Doty), and they only speak highly of it.”
The Elite 11 has featured a long list of stars. Some of those alumni including former No.1 overall NFL Draft picks Bryce Young, Carson Palmer, Trevor Lawrence, Kyler Murray, Jameis Winston, Matthew Stafford, Andrew Luck, just to name a few. In fact, 12 of the past 13 quarterbacks to have won the Heisman Trophy attended either the Elite 11 Finals or an Elite 11 Regional.

“I can’t wait to go out to compete with the best. I always bring that Northeast chip on my shoulder with me.”
Rated as the No.21 quarterback by the On3 industry rankings for the class of 2024, Reno committed to South Carolina last July. In February, he transferred to Cheshire Academy (Cheshire, CT) from Loomis Chaffee (Windsor, CT). A move that will allow Reno to enroll into South Carolina early in January of 2024.
