SEC schedule format announced for 2025
The Southeastern Conference announced its schedule format for the 2025 season on Wednesday, giving South Carolina football fans a better sense of its conference slate.
The 2025 schedule for teams in the conference will mirror the 2024 format; teams will play a total of eight conference games. The home/away designations for each matchup will simply flip.
SEC football programs are also required to play an additional opponent from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, or a major independent.

South Carolina, of course, already plays Clemson in an annual rivalry game each season.
Home games for the Gamecocks in 2025 will include Alabama, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Vanderbilt.
South Carolina will travel to face LSU, Ole Miss, Missouri, and Texas A&M.
“Continuing with our current format for the 2025 season provides additional time to understand the impact of the changes happening around us as we determine the appropriate long-term plan for SEC football scheduling,” said Greg Sankey, the SEC Commissioner, said in a release.
