Analytics Report: College Football Playoff odds, key Palmetto Bowl matchups

There are two schools of thought regarding South Carolina's chances at reaching the College Football Playoff, and people inside and outside of the analytics world can fall into either bucket. The side of the fence on which you fall will determine if you think the Gamecocks have a chance or if you go to lunch after Saturday's Palmetto Bowl, knowing that nothing aside from an Act of God or the craziest of analytics anomalies will move the Gamecocks into the postseason.
