Georgia corner commits to South Carolina

Another one of South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer’s “#WelcomeHome” announcements has now been revealed.
Georgia cornerback Christopher Hatfield is the latest prospect to go public with a commitment to the Gamecocks.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder completed an official visit to South Carolina the weekend of June 7, a trip that ended up putting things over the top in favor of USC.

“It was amazing, just with all the coaches, all the players, being able to talk to some of the ’25 players that could possibly be committed to South Carolina,” Hatfield said of the trip to Columbia. “So, me being able to have relationships with all the players, all the coaches, (the) official visit was amazing. Just the best atmosphere, I felt.”

The opportunity to play for Beamer and defensive backs coach Torrian Gray was appealing to Hatfield as well.
“Coach Beamer, he’s amazing,” said Hatfield. “Just love from not just the coaches, but from the player personnels, the people that’s under them, showing the most love. Knowing that I could get developed by one of the best coaches in the country, it’s amazing.”
