Earlier this spring, South Carolina football star pass rusher Dylan Stewart’s name was on a list of reported cover athletes for EA Sports College Football 26. On Tuesday, EA confirmed those reports by revealing multiple covers for CFB26.

Stewart will be on the Deluxe Edition of this year’s update to the best-selling video game. He will be the first Gamecock on a college football video game cover. Former women’s basketball star A’ja Wilson was on multiple editions of this year’s NBA 2k25 cover.

Stewart’s inclusion on the CFB26 cover comes following a huge freshman season in Columbia. The former 5-star didn’t log the counting stats of Nagurski Trophy winner Kyle Kennard, but his impact was felt nonetheless. Still, Sewart finished the year with 6.5 sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss. He made several clutch plays for the USC defense, too, including a forced fumble late against Old Dominion and a pressure on Demetrius Knight’s game-sealing interception against Clemson.

Joining Stewart on the Deluxe Edition are fellow college football stars Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State), Ryan Williams (Alabama), Jeremiyah Love (Notre Dame), DJ Lagway (Florida), Bryce Underwood (Michigan), Caleb Downs (Ohio State), Garrett Nussmeier (LSU), Sam Leavitt (Arizona State), Nick Singleton (Penn State), and Cade Klubnik (Clemson). Current coaches Kirby Smart (Georgia), Ryan Day (Ohio State), Dan Lanning (Oregon), Lane Kiffin (Ole Miss), Kenny Dillingham (Arizona State), Marcus Freeman (Notre Dame), and James Franklin (Penn State) are also on the Deluxe cover. College football legends and former EA Sports NCAA Football–the previous college football video game franchise’s name–cover athletes Tim Tebow (Florida), Reggie Bush (Southern Cal), and Denard Robinson (Michigan) add some nostalgia to the cover. Various fans, flags, and mascots from other programs are included, as well. Smith and Williams will grace the video game’s Standard Edition cover.

For the first time ever, real head coaches will also be in the game. South Carolina headman Shane Beamer has not yet confirmed his involvement.

South Carolina football fans hoping to own the Stewart cover will be able to do so starting on July 10th. Preordering is now available and will grant players early access to the game on July 7th. A full trailer for CFB26 will drop on Thursday.
