South Carolina football finished the 2024 regular season with a 9-3 mark and awaits word on its postseason bowl destination.

Conference championship games are now over, and the 12-team College Football Playoff field will be revealed on Sunday night.

The Gamecocks will not have the opportunity to play in the CFP but will receive a quality bowl invitation.

Saturday night’s ACC title game could change the bowl landscape for South Carolina. With SMU losing to Clemson, the Mustangs are battling Alabama for an at-large spot in the College Football Playoff.

The Citrus Bowl, a spot that South Carolina has been linked to, gets the first pick of non-CFP teams. If Alabama is left out of the CFP, that bowl will pick between the Gamecocks and Crimson Tide.
