CHRIS CLARK: South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback Spencer Rattler has not played his best football in the Garnet and Black just yet.

While he’s shown some glimpses of his immense physical talent, there have been some near-misses and inconsistencies that leave one waiting for him to break out with a big performance.

While I am not picking the Gamecocks to win, I do think that Rattler will have his strongest game of the season so far against Georgia. I’m betting that he and a receiver will finally connect on a long ball and that he will be the difference maker on some of the Gamecocks’ offensive successes.

WES MITCHELL: Stetson Bennett will throw his first pick of the year. The highly underrated Georgia quarterback is off to an excellent start this season, throwing for 668 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. While Bennett has thrown all over his first two opponents, he’s done so primarily with shorter passes and has not put the ball in danger so far. But here’s thinking that streak will eventually end.

KENDALL SMITH: Josh Vann will finally have his breakout game this season. South Carolina will need to pull out all the stops from their offense to stand a chance. Georgia knows Juice Wells is their primary problem at receiver, but with Josh Vann’s big game experience, expect him to get a lot of opportunities- and capitalize off them this weekend against the top ranked team in the country.

COLLYN TAYLOR: Georgia is heavily favored in this game, and rightfully so. But I think South Carolina will be able to hit some explosive plays. The best way to move the ball on this kind of defense isn’t 11-play drives spanning 75 yards in six minutes. South Carolina has the ability to hit chunk plays in the passing game and I think they will.

Defensively, the Gamecocks will probably struggle once again stopping the run. It’s not the same Georgia rushing attack that it was last year but stopping the ground game is a bugaboo for this South Carolina team and Georgia has the talent to exploit that.

MIKE UVA: South Carolina’s offense still has a ways to go but it showed signs of improvement from week one to week two. With the competition only being more difficult this week in facing arguably the top-ranked defense in the country, the Gamecocks can’t afford to take a step backwards.

Although it will be a tougher challenge, Spencer Rattler will throw for three touchdowns to give USC a chance, leaving it up to the defense to get the job done.
