Gamecocks offer 2023 TE, teammate of QB target Dante Reno
South Carolina football extended an offer to Culver (In.) The Loomis Chaffee School class of 2023 three-star tight end Jackson Carver, the 6-foot-6, 220-pounder announced on Twitter Wednesday morning.
Carver is being recruited to South Carolina by special teams coordinator Pete Lembo, who has been very active in his northeast territories for the Gamecocks, and tight ends coach Jody Wright.
The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – ranks Carver as the No. 34 tight end and No. 691 overall prospect in the country as well as the No. 3 prospect in Connecticut, where Loomis Chaffee is located.

Carver attends the same school as four-star class of 2024 quarterback Dante Reno who has emerged as a major target for the Gamecocks in the 2024 class. Reno, who has visited South Carolina twice, plans to be back in Columbia next week.
Carver, who played last season at Culver Academies in Indiana, also holds offers from LSU, West Virginia, Michigan State, Iowa, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Boston College, North Carolina, Rutgers, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, Iowa State, Virginia Tech, Auburn, Virginia, Duke, Purdue, and Pitt, among others.
Carver visited LSU for the Tigers’ spring game and the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has LSU as the favorite due to a prediction from The Bengal Tiger‘s Billy Embody for him to land with the Tigers. The RPM has odds for each recruit’s commitment.
