Want to wear the jersey of your favorite South Carolina football player to the game?

University of South Carolina football players will now have the opportunity to opt-in to monetize on their jersey sales ahead of the 2022 college football season, the school said in a release Monday afternoon.

The news came via an announcement from Fanatics and OneTeam Partners.

South Carolina joins a list of select schools that will offer the option for its student-athletes. LSU announced 17 days ago that it was the first school to allow student-athletes to benefit from their jersey sales.

Fans may select any Gamecock football player who opts into the program.

Jersey will be available online at shop.gamecocksonline.com, the Official Online Store of the South Carolina Gamecocks operated by Fanatics.

The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

A number of dynamic data points that focus on two primary factors – an athlete’s social media presence and their level of athletic performance – the NIL valuation.

A base valuation is generated from the number of followers on each social media platform an athlete has (Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok). Each platform is weighted differently based on the number of marketing dollars that brands and advertisers typically spend on each.

The NIL100 ranks South Carolina quarterback Spencer Rattler’s NIL value 12th in the country.
