South Carolina football: pair of linemen hit transfer portal
South Carolina is losing two reserve defensive linemen to the transfer portal.
The Gamecocks saw both Devontae Davis and Jahkeem Green enter the portal Monday afternoon, a little less than two days removed from the end of spring practice. On3 has confirmed both are in the portal.
Green, who is originally from Sumter, started his career at Nebraska and couldn’t crack the rotation at South Carolina. He worked on the scout team last season and didn’t see any game action during the 2021 season.
Davis had been on the roster for a couple of years but only played in two games with four tackles and half a tackle for loss.
The Gamecocks have a wealth of talent returning up front and some entrenched starters coming back.
South Carolina also saw receiver EJ Jenkins hit the portal Monday morning.
