South Carolina football has scheduled a large number of spring unofficial visits in recent weeks. This weekend, the Gamecocks will welcome several intriguing prospects to Columbia, including 4-star wide receiver Ryan Mosley. Another interesting name on Friday’s visit list is North Carolina native Braylon Clark.

Clark, a class of 2028 wide receiver from Charlotte Country Day School, earned Freshman All-American honors from Football University. He took an unofficial visit to Columbia for the game against Wofford last season, so this weekend’s short drive down I-77 won’t be his first trip to campus.

An all-conference player this fall, Clark also plays on the defensive side of the ball, but his receiver film is impressive. Listed at 6-2 and 175 pounds, he has the height and athletic ability to high-point the football. He’s also fast and a smooth mover who can run past or around defenders. Adding impressive ballcarrier vision to the equation, Clark is dangerous after the catch. That athleticism translates to the basketball court, as well, and his film on the hardwood showcases his toughness, strong hands, and great instincts when the ball is in the air.

According to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, the in-state NC State Wolfpack holds the edge in the early goings of Clark’s recruitment. However, with three more years of high school football left to play, this one is far from a done deal. USC likes him a lot as a prospect, as evidenced by an early scholarship offer this November.

Despite his age, Clark already owns an impressive list of scholarship offers. Major programs like NC State, Miami, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Arkansas, Florida State, Tennessee, Duke, and Syracuse join South Carolina.
