South Carolina football has added its second commitment to its 2023 recruiting class with the pledge of Atlanta (Ga.) Pace On3Consensus three-star IOL Trovon Baugh on Saturday evening.

Baugh chooses the Gamecocks over offers from programs like North Carolina, Florida State, Auburn, LSU, N.C. State, Arkansas, Miami, Tennessee, and many others.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pounder has been highly prioritized by offensive line coach Greg Adkins since the Gamecocks offered in February. It was around that time that his recruitment was really starting to take off with over 30 schools extending offers to the road-grading interior lineman.

Baugh has visited Columbia at least twice, once during the St. Patrick’s Day weekend and once for the Gamecocks’ spring game.

The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – ranks Baugh as the No. 39 interior offensive lineman and No. 505 overall prospect in the country. The Consensus ranks Baugh as the No. 50 overall prospect in Georgia.

On3’s recruiting analysts are significantly higher on Baugh than the rest of the recruiting industry, ranking him as a four-star prospect, the No. 15 interior lineman and No. 217 overall prospect in the On300. On3 considers him the No. 19 overall prospect in Georgia for his class.

Baugh has set his official visit to South Carolina for the weekend of June 24, which is scheduled to be one of two major official visit weekends for the Gamecocks in that month.

Baugh joins Laurel (Md.) St. John’s three-star safety Zahbari Sandy, who announced a pledge to South Carolina on May 8, on the Gamecocks‘ public commit list.
