Day 5 of the Shane Beamer Camp has arrived as the South Carolina football program will welcome hundreds of prospects for a 7-on-7 tournament and an OL/DL camp.

Four-star DB Jalon Kilgore commits to South Carolina football
South Carolina football’s recruiting momentum continues.
Eatonton (Ga.) Putnam County class of 2023 four-star DB Jalon Kilgore announced his commitment to the Gamecocks Wednesday night after taking an official visit to the school over the weekend.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect chooses South Carolina over finalists Clemson, Oklahoma, Michigan and Tennessee Tech.

He also held Power 5 offers from Florida, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Kentucky and Georgia Tech.
South Carolina, led by the charge of area recruiter Jimmy Lindsey and defensive backs coach Torrian Gray, was the first Power 5 program to offer.
The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – ranks Kilgore as the No. 31 safety, No. 372 overall prospect and No. 32 state of Georgia prospect in the 2023 class.
Kilgore is the fourth commitment to go public with a pledge to the Gamecocks this week, announcing Wednesday from his church after committing to South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer over the phone on Sunday.
The Gamecocks landed a fifth overall commitment for the week, which is still private, on Wednesday morning.

Fort Myers (Fla.) Lehigh four-star ATH Kelton Henderson, Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School three-star tight end Connor Cox and Perry (Fla.) Taylor County three-star DB Cameron Upshaw all three pledged to South Carolina on Sunday.
The Gamecocks now have six total public commitments with the four named in this piece joining Atlanta (Ga) Pace Academy On3 four-star OL Trovon Baugh and Laurel (Md.) St. John’s three-star DB Zahbari Sandy on the South Carolina 2023 commit list.
A few days removed from the whirlwind weekend that saw South Carolina host 13 official visitors on campus, Beamer said Tuesday night that the Welcome Home Tour stop in Myrtle Beach that he hopes the June fireworks are only just getting started.
“It’s great. And you guys know it’s all leading up to that point all the work we’ve done since we’ve gotten here with these kids. It was really good. Any time we’re able to get these guys on our camps we feel good about our chances to get them,” he said.
“They get around us as people, see what this program’s about, see what Columbia’s about, see what our university’s about. That’s exactly what happen this weekend.”
