Bryant, who has used his close proximity to campus to visit the Gamecocks multiple times, is an intriguing prospect. Listed at 6’4″ and 230 pounds, the talented EDGE player might be closer to 250 or 260 pounds. He had a tremendous sophomore year for his Yellow Jackets, sacking opposing quarterbacks 24 times. As a freshman in 2023, he also eclipsed the double-digit sack mark.
While Bryant is unranked according to On3, that won’t be the case for too much longer. Power conference programs like Penn State, Virginia Tech, and Maryland also have offered. If he winds up in Columbia, he could follow in the footsteps of other Irmo products. Safety Nick Emmanwori was an All-American for USC this season, and wide receiver Donovan Murph will be a Gamecock in 2025 following a high school All-American selection this year.
On film, Bryant shows a rare combination of abilities for a player so young. His athleticism pops off the screen, but he pairs that with a strong lower half and good hands. He is adept at shedding blockers but has enough “get-off” at the snap that sometimes he gets into the backfield untouched. Bryant also has a knack for knowing when to stop moving upfield so that he can read the play. Because of that, he does a good job of setting the edge, too.

South Carolina outside linebackers/defensive ends coach Sterling Lucas and other coaches recruiting Bryant have to be excited to see what he can be after two more seasons of high school ball as he has the potential to become a game-wrecker at the next level.

Bryant joins in-state wide receiver Khristian Jackson and in-state running back David “Tre” Segarra with offers this week. The trio of 2027 cycle studs are sure to be priority targets moving forward for South Carolina.
