Mountainous 4-star target returning to South Carolina for a visit

South Carolina football has had a busy week. On Tuesday, the Gamecocks held their annual Pro Day, on Wednesday, they began spring practice, and throughout the week, the program has scheduled more and more spring and summer visits.
One of the biggest upcoming visits (literally) is one for 4-star offensive lineman Joshua Sam-Epelle. According to the big fella’s social media, he will be on campus for an unofficial visit March 27th. He also has spring unofficials scheduled to Georgia, Clemson, and Alabama.
Sam-Epelle, one of the class of 2027’s largest human beings at 6-8 and 305 pounds, had a great visit to check out the South Carolina football program this winter. The Gamecocks hope to pick up right where they left off when he returns to town next weekend.

Ranked as the No. 61 overall player in the country by the On3 industry rankings, Sam-Epelle also is the No. 6 national offensive tackle, and the No. 7 prospect in the state of Georgia’s 2027 cycle.

The big blocker has earned significant interest from virtually every program across major college football. However, as things stand, the Gamecoks are perceived as one of the teams near the top of his recruitment. The in-state Georgia Bulldogs, Auburn Tigers, and Pittsburgh Panthers are the other schools the On3 RPM views as early factors. With more two years before high school graduation, though, there’s still plenty of time to go in this one.
Sam-Epelle is one of the most complete high school offensive tackle prospects in the entire country. As he continues to improve his body and technique, he has the potential to become an elite collegiate lineman, too.
