South Carolina inks Peach State linebacker AJ Holloway
It’s signing day in South Carolina, and signatures from prospects continue to roll in for Shane Beamer’s Gamecocks program.
The latest player to sign his paperwork with South Carolina football is Buford High School (Georgia) linebacker AJ Holloway.

Holloway is ranked by the recruiting industry as a consensus 3-star. The On3 industry composite has him listed as the No. 919 player nationally, the No. 107 prospect in Georgia, and the No. 102 linebacker in the country.

Why South Carolina? “I loved it,” he recalled. “It was one of the best college visits I’ve ever been on. It was a night game, too. Sandstorm, all that, I just remember. It was amazing. It was always in the back of my mind…I just thought, yeah, this is it,” the Peach State product said. “This is where I want to be…I love South Carolina. They’re doing great on the field. The defense is doing amazing. And I feel like they’re producing the best right now, so I’m good.”
