Dylan Lonergan sets South Carolina official visit
Less than a week after announcing his list of top five schools — which includes South Carolina — four-star quarterback Dylan Lonergan has set an official visit to get a more in-depth look at the Gamecock football program.
The Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood two-sport standout posted on his Instagram Story Wednesday that his South Carolina official visit is set for the weekend of June 10.
Lonergan, who also visited South Carolina for the spring game and has been on five total unofficials to the school, has a top five consisting of Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, South Carolina and Stanford.
While Lonergan has not publicly announced the dates for his other official visits, he said after trimming his list to those schools that all five will receive official visits.
All five schools have also offered Lonergan, a standout pitcher, the opportunity to play both football and baseball at the next level.

“I love both coaching staffs,” Lonergan said of South Carolina football and baseball via On3’s Jeremy Johnson. “Coach (Shane) Beamer is great. I feel really at home whenever I go up there. That fan base is probably the best that I’ve been to.”
“The atmosphere there is just different from any other place I’ve been to,” Lonergan said to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. “Coach Beamer and (Mark) Kingston really make me feel at home there.”
The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – ranks Lonergan as the No. 9 quarterback, No. 82 overall prospect and No. 5 state of Georgia prospect in the 2023 class.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) — which uses machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends to predict the percentages a recruit will choose a particular school — gives South Carolina a 46.7 percent chance to land Lonergan with Stanford checking in second with a 22.6 percent chance.
Dylan Lonergan Junior Season Evaluation (per On3’s Charles Power)
Dylan Lonergan continued to show improvement as a junior at Brookwood (Ga.) Snellville. Several top skill players transferred out of the program, but Lonergan still put up some impressive production. The 6-foot-1, 220-pounder is a well-rounded quarterback with the ability to make some creative plays out of structure. He accounted for over 4,000 yards and 40 touchdowns from scrimmage and only threw two interceptions. Lonergan is also a top baseball prospect.
