This week, the Rivals Industry Ranking (formerly known as the On3 Industry Ranking) moved several South Carolina football commitments up or down thanks to the changes in the inaugural Rivals300.

One player who didn’t see his Rivals ranking change much from his old On3 status was offensive lineman Zyon Guiles. For the last several months, Guiles has floated around the No. 40 spot in the On3/Rivals player rankings. As of this writing, the Palmetto State native is the No. 37 overall prospect in the class of 2026.

The high ranking makes Guiles a “Rivals Outlier.” Though the rest of the recruiting industry is high on the Carvers Bay High School product (both 247Sports and ESPN list him as a four-star recruit), Rivals is even higher. Rated by some of the industry as an interior lineman and by others as a tackle, On3 ranks him as the top interior offensive lineman in the entire country.

Rivals Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power talked with GamecockCentral this spring, and he sang Guiles’ praises.

Powers argued that Guiles possesses everything needed to be a high-level player at the college level. He said, “I think for starters, [Guiles] has a lot of what we look for among offensive line prospects, particularly interior offensive line prospects.” He added, “He has a very good size at around 6-foot-4.5, 290 pounds, and just kind of has a sturdy build and pairs that with functional movement skills. He’s a coordinated athlete and plays with a bunch of power and nastiness.” Power also used the words “dominant” and “vicious” to describe the future Gamecock.

Guiles is one of two interior offensive linemen committed to South Carolina in the 2026 cycle. Three-star Rock Hill native Anthony Baxter is the longest-tenured pledge in the class. Offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley also is in on five-star interior blocker Darius Gray and four-star tackle Kamari Blair.

Blair will announce his decision Wednesday, and the Gamecocks are one of three finalists, along with Ole Miss and Tennessee. Gray cut his list to five (South Carolina, Clemson, LSU, Tennessee, and Ohio State) but hasn’t offered a commitment timetable.
