South Carolina football announces official Senior Day participants
This weekend, South Carolina football will welcome the in-state Wofford Terriers to Columbia for the final home game of the season. Williams-Brice Stadium will be full again as Gamecock fans have sold out all tickets, completing the home slate with seven sellouts in seven contests.
Saturday will be Salute the Troops Day and Senior Day for the University of South Carolina.
Because of the 2020 “Covid redshirt” and modern 4-game redshirt allowances, knowing exactly which players would “walk” on Senior Day can be a bit difficult. However, the official Gamecock Football page on Twitter/X made things a little easier this year.

Notable names like defensive back Nick Emmanwori, athlete Luke Doty, quarterback Robby Ashford, running back Oscar Adaway, offensive lineman Jakai Moore, and defensive tackle Nick Barrett were not included. Each of those players has at least one more potential year of eligibility available (Barrett will lose that eligibility, though, if he plays again during the regular season as he has seen action in four games this season). Redshirt junior defensive lineman TJ Sanders (who is in his fourth year with the program) plans to walk with the seniors ahead of a likely early selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
It is also worth noting that just because a player participates in Senior Day, that individual does not have to leave the South Carolina football program if he still has eligibility remaining. Inversely, a player who does not walk on Senior Day still can choose to leave the Gamecocks.
