Multiple future Gamecocks playing in South Carolina state championships this weekend
It’s State Championship Weekend in South Carolina. That means Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will each see two state title games played as teams from across the Palmetto State compete for coveted state championships. That also means some future Gamecocks will get to play on the biggest stage in South Carolina high school football. In total, four USC signees will play for rings this weekend in the Palmetto State, including two playing against each other in one final contest before becoming teammates.

At the 5A Division-1 level, the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes will play the Summerville Green Wave. That means that linebacker pledge Josh Smith (Dutch Fork) will aim for his third championship in a row.
The Westside Rams and South Florence Bruins will battle for the 4A championship. That game will feature future Gamecocks on either side. Quarterback Cutter Woods leads Westside, while wide receiver Jayden Sellers is the top offensive weapon for South Florence. Clemson signee Amare Adams also plays for the Bruins.
At the 1A level, the dynastic Abbeville Panthers will go for another trophy against the Cross Trojans. Defensive back Damarcus Leach is a hard-hitter for the Panthers.
