On Tuesday, South Carolina football product Torricelli Simpkins picked up an invitation to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. The big offensive lineman announced the news on social media on Tuesday afternoon.

At the NFL Combine, Simpkins will have the opportunity to perform, practice, go through drills, undergo physical testing, and interview with NFL franchises and their decision-makers.

Simpkins, who played at North Carolina Central before transferring to join the Gamecocks, had a strong senior season in garnet and black. He started at right guard for USC in every game of the 2024 season.

Following a slow start to this year for the USC offensive line, Simpkins led a resurgent group during the back half of the year. It is no coincidence that both quarterback LaNorris Sellers’ emergence and the Gamecocks’ six-game winning streak came just as Simpkins and the offensive line played their best football.

Simpkins picked up multiple offensive lineman of the week awards this season, including the Outland Trophy Offensive Lineman of the Week selection following the Gamecocks’ blowout win over the then-No. 10 Texas A&M Aggies. That week, Simpkins helped Sellers earn the Maxwell Club’s National Offensive Player of the Week. Simpkins also earned two SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week awards this season en route to All-SEC honors.

Torricelli Simpkins is one of many former Gamecocks with a realistic chance of being drafted this spring. At the Combine, he will have the chance to improve his draft stock. His ability to play guard and center could add to his perceived value.

The NFL Combine will take place from February 27th through March 2nd at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The NFL Network will cover the Combine.

Then, about two months later, the NFL Draft will be in Green Bay, Wisconsin. ABC, NFL Network, and the ESPN family of networks will cover the April 24th through April 26th event.
