Veteran South Carolina offensive lineman enters transfer portal
Veteran offensive lineman Aaryn “AJ” Parks is leaving South Carolina via the NCAA transfer portal. On3’s Pete Nakos reported the news on Tuesday afternoon.
Parks joined the Gamecocks last offseason following a transfer from the Oklahoma Sooners. In Norman, Parks spent time with USC head coach Shane Beamer, who formerly was an assistant on Lincoln Riley’s staff.
A redshirt senior offensive tackle, Parks seemed to be in the two-deep for offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley before an injury sidelined him for all of 2024. Pending a medical redshirt, the former 4-star prospect could have up to two years remaining at his next stop.
Though the transfer portal window is closed, graduate students like Parks can enter the portal at any time.
